Here are 'snapshots' from the Covington family. Some may be routine events, others may be from special events, others may be totally out of the blue. Whatever the event, we hope you enjoy.

Valentine Party
Sydnie's Valentine party was her first at her new preschool. She was soooo excited! When I arrived Ms. Amy was reading an Arthur Valentine story. The children were all sitting around the tables listening, or rather wondering when they could dig into their treats. I was very impressed how controlled and patient they were. After the story they handed out their treats to each other and took a few minutes to look through their Valentine bags. What a fun day!!

Well, it has been a while since I have posted. Much has happened. Sydnie learned how to swing by herself (March 20); she has learned how to pedal and steer her tricycle; she is just growing up. Today was her preschool program at Northside Preschool. She hasn't quite internalized that this is the last week of school; she will be very sad when she does. She LOVES preschool!! The teachers are all wonderful and have made it a super expereince for her first year.

Happy Easter...A little early. Today was Sydnie's Easter party and egg hunt at school. She was certainly very excited about it! She collected eggs, eggs, and more eggs. In the end, she had her dozen.
After the egg hunt they colored pencil decorations and egg holders and decorated cookies.
Of course, when we got home she was anxious to see what was in her eggs, not to mention taste everything...no, I didn't let her taste everything. She was not too happy about that part, but I guess that is life. Anyway, I was able to redirect her with a huge bag of clothes a friend, a very generous friend loaned to us. "Oh, my goodness!" or "WOW" was a comment with almost every shirt, shorts, dress or yes, even the socks that came out of the bag. Who says Christmas only comes once a year??

The Christmas Season...full of songs, crowds, baking, parties, and we can't forget the noise, noise, noise, noise, which according to the Grinch, which we have seen many, many times, is the worst part of Christmas. Yet, the right kind of noise is what Christmas is all about...children's laughter, singing, bells, fires (some where), musical Christmas toys, the oven timer when the last batch of cookies is finished.
Today was Sydnie's Christmas Party at Preschool and the children were bustling around so full of excitement some of them could burst - especially when they saw Santa! Sydnie was excited, but only gave a little smirk when she sat on Santa's lap. I guess one too many pictures of her with Santa. However, when we got home, she quickly emptied all of her goodie bags in front of her so she could see everything...and there was quite a bit of stuff. Her bucket was over-flowing, as was her excitement.
